Who We Are
BioYield, based outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is a boutique strategic advisory and project development firm with particular expertise in the areas of bio-energy, upstream biomass feedstock supply, value-added agribusiness, food processing and related industries.
The principals of BioYield have been involved in operating and advising a wide range of businesses, including multi-national and multi-billion dollar enterprises, but have a keen interest in providing advisory services and hands-on project development and management services to start-ups, infrastructure developments and entrepreneurial ventures with a special focus on BioEnergy and value added agribusiness.

Bud has over 30 years experience in a broad range of public and private entities in the development of new venture development, corporate strategy, planning and transition, performance improvement, financial management and executive information development.
He is a Founder and current Managing Director of AgFuture Energy LLC, a joint equity venture with Texas A&M University System (TAMUS), (and affiliate to BioYield), that was created to accelerate the commercialization of IP and research at TAMUS, primarily focused on bioenergy. Past positions include leading the Value Creation Service Line in the Mid Atlantic region for the middle market client practice of Deloitte Consulting and Director of Strategy, Finance and Management Information for a multi-national discrete manufacturer.
Bud has served food processing clients including Anheiser Busch, WaWa, Keystone Foods, Fairmont Foods, HP Hood, Lehigh Valley Farms, Tuscan Dairy, DairyLea, Future Beef and the American Mushroom Association. Past energy clients included Columbia Gas of Ohio, Buckeye Partners, Philadelphia Gas Works and Penn Fuels. Other clients include Day & Zimmermann, Penn Fishing, Southco, kForce, CitiSteel, StoneMor Partners and the Port of Wilmington, DE.
Bud has a BA from Colgate University and an MBA from the Wharton School.

Scott has over 15 years experience in renewable energy and value-added agribusiness, with a particular focus on strategy development and start-up operational issues in bioenergy. He has a strong understanding of financial and operational realities in agriculture and energy, as well as significant hands-on experience in consulting management, strategy development, project management and new venture start-ups.
He is a Founder and current Director of Technology of AgFuture Energy LLC, a joint equity venture with Texas A&M University System (TAMUS), (and affiliate to BioYield), that was created to accelerate the commercialization of IP and research at TAMUS, primarily focused on bioenergy. Past positions include: Partner with New Hope Partners, a boutique advisory firm specializing in new venture development; Vice President with Brubaker Consulting Group, a regional agricultural consulting firm; and Project Manager for several corn ethanol developments.
Scott has worked with clients to organize and fund agricultural based start-ups, as well as developing highly managed contract crop production systems. Past bioenergy and agricultural clients include Penn-Mar Ethanol, Empire Biofuels, REDDI of South Central PA, Perdue Farms, Hoffman Seeds, Furmano Foods, John Cope’s Food Products, Vector Tobacco, and numerous agricultural producers (both crops and livestock).
Scott has a BS in Agricultural Science from Penn State University.
